Mounting an angle bracket

The holes with a 5 mm diameter are meant for mounting on wood. Use chipboard screws 5 x 35 mm for these mounting holes. To drive the screws into the wood, use torx bits for your drill.

Anchor bolts M10 are great for installing the bracket on concrete. Use the mounting holes with a 12 mm diameter for these bolts. You can also choose to insert the bolt in the slotted hole. The advantage of this is that it gives you some wiggle room during the installation. It allows you to correct small miscalculations, or to adjust the bracket at a later stage.

To install anchor bolts, you will first have to drill a hole in the concrete. Do this with a hammer drill with SDS-Plus drill bits. When you attach something to concrete, you will always need to use wall plugs. For this angle bracket, you will need plugs with a diameter of 10 mm. Next, insert the anchor bolt in the hole, and tap the head of the bolt with a rubber mallet to anchor the bolt.
