Fitting the Door-mounted Hinges install

For installing, you will need the following: a pencil, a 2 mm hardwood drill bit and a drill with a matching bit.

Because these are double-action hinges, it does not matter whether your door is internal or external. The door will be able to be opened from both sides. Therefore, make sure that the rooms on both sides of the door have enough space for the door to swing open.

Step 1: Determine the position of the upper Hinge
Step 2: Mark out the screw holes with a pencil
Step 3: Slightly pre-drill the screw holes, about 30 mm deep
Step 4: Screw the upper Hinge in place
Step 5: Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the lower hinge
Step 6: Now screw the hinges to your door
Step 7: Use the locking pins and adjusting pin to adjust how heavily your door opens and closes

Please note: Take into account the door thickness. This is because the door must not be wider than the centre piece of the swing door hinge.
