Installing the Hinge

To secure the hinge, you will need the following: a pencil, a 3 mm hardwood drill bit and a drill with a matching bit.

Because these Hinges are double-action, you also don't need to consider the direction of rotation of your door. This is because you can open the door from both sides. This makes mounting a Piece easier. However, keep in mind that there should be sufficient space on both sides of the door.

Step 1: Determine the location of the top hinge
Step 2: Use the pencil to mark the screw holes
Step 3: Lightly pre-drill the screw holes, about 30 mm deep
Step 4: Installing the top hinge to the door
Step 5: Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the lower Hinge
Step 6: Now install the Hinges and door to the door frame
Step 7: Use the locking pins and adjusting pin to adjust how heavily your door opens and closes

Important: Keep in mind the door thickness. This is because the door should not be wider than the centre piece of the swing door hinge.
