Black Planter Galvanised Steel 40 x 40 x 40 cm - Per piece

This beautiful, black planter is made of galvanised steel with a black coating. This coating creates a protective layer against corrosion as well as giving the planter a modern and unique look. Small scrapes in the coating can easily be retouched with a black, waterproof marker.

This square planter is 40 x 40 x 40 cm with a volume of 64L. The steel is 1.5 mm thick with an upper edge of 2.5 cm. 

Filling a black planter

One of the main advantages of this planter is that it is equipped with a hole in the bottom. This means it can easily drain the excess water, and you will not require a weed membrane. We recommend using potting soil to fill the planter, because it contains more air, resulting in better drainage.

Assembling the black planter

To assemble the black planter, you only need the supplied bolts, nuts, and spanner.

1. The planter is made up of 5 different pieces. Find the bottom, the other 4 pieces are the sides. The side panels have 1 side that is the top, recognisable by the square part.
2. Secure one side panel to the bottom with two bolts and nuts, using the spanner. Double check that you have got the right side up.
3. Secure the remaining three side panels as described in step 2. Also secure the side panels to each other.

You can now place the planter in the desired spot in the garden. Make sure that the ground is even and solid, so the planter is stable and will not sink into the ground.

This planter can stay outside all year long without any problems. The planter can withstand frost and UV-light. This means the frost will not break it in the winter and the planter will only be ever so slightly discoloured in the summer. The planter also fits well with a black fence or pergola.
