This Bubble foil insulation is mainly used for interior insulation and is also vapour-tight. Make sure you always install the foil insulation on the inside (warm side).

Installing foil insulation

Applying is not difficult and easy to do independently. Before you start insulating, first install a wooden battens on the inside wall, also known as the wooden frame. Then apply the foil insulation. Always work from left to right and start at the bottom. Securing the foil with stainless steel staples at least 20 mm in length every 25 cm. The use of staples is highly recommended, as this ensures that the Bubble foil insulation remains firmly in place. When placing the foil insulation, make sure you always keep an overlap of about 100-150 mm. You can then cut the foil to size with a sharp knife and finish with foil tape.

Please note! Bubble foil insulation is mainly made of LDPE material, which does not withstand wood acids well. This may cause the foil to deteriorate. It is strongly recommended to use foil tape as a protective layer between the battens and the bubble foil insulation. This prevents the insulating effect of the bubble foil from being lost.
