    Bulb Planter 232 x 132 x 70 mm - Galvanised - Per piece

Want to easily and quickly plant bulbs? Then you need this bulb planter. The bulb planter is easy to use, and you do not need to exert that much force on the planter to push it into the ground. The sharp edge with teeth on the bottom effortlessly slides into the ground.

    Planting bulbs

When planting tulips, gladioli, or other bulbs, a bulb planter is an incredibly useful tool. It is a simple garden tool that allows you to quickly create holes of the same size. Because every hole has the same dimensions, the bulbs are all planted at the same depth. With the handle of the bulb planter, you can hold and release the earth. This means you can, after placing the bulb in the hole, simply cover it again with the same earth you took out of the ground.

    When should I plant bulbs?

We distinguish two different kinds of bulbs: spring-flowering and summer-flowering bulbs. Tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths, among others, are spring-flowering bulbs. These bulbs are planted in the autumn, between September and December, before the first frost. The summer-flowering bulbs include gladioli, dahlias, and begonias. These are planted in the spring, when the soil is starting to warm up.

    Where should I plant bulbs?

When planting bulbs, remember that between the individual bulbs, you should keep a distance of three times the width of the bulb. For example, two narcissus bulbs of 5 cm should be 15 cm apart. The bulbs should also be three times as deep as the height of the bulb, so a bulb of 5 cm should be 15 cm deep. The type of soil does not matter that much, as long as the water can penetrate well. After planting the bulbs, it is important to immediately water the bulbs. This allows the bulbs to quickly start growing roots, which help it survive the cold.
