These chipboard screws with AR-coating are specially made for tannic acid-containing wood such as oak and Red Cedar. The anti-rust coating with corrosion class C4 is self-healing and protects the screws from tannic acid and rust. This keeps the screw unaffected and prevents black stains in the wood.

The screws with a Partial Thread feature a Torx 15 drive. A Torx drive ensures more grip and therefore a secure connection. The bit is supplied free of charge with the screws. To countersink the screws nicely, there are special milling ribs under the head. When working with Hardwood, we always recommend pre-drilling. This considerably reduces the resistance the screw has to endure, which also reduces the chance of it breaking. Use a 2 mm hardwood drill bit for this purpose. To make screwing in even easier, the screw is equipped with a razor-sharp Type-17 cutting point.
