    Coloured-head screws Cream stainless steel 4.8 x 25 mm - Box 100 Pieces

When you want to get busy installing various facade panels, such as the well-known trespa panels, HPL panels or perhaps other facade panels, you have 2 choices. Namely, you can choose to glue these panels, which has the disadvantage that in case of a strong storm or under humid conditions, the panels will come loose. There is also a chance that the glue will dry up and crumble over time. This is why Coloured-head screws have been invented. As the name suggests, you can recognise them by the wide, colourful head that comes in a variety of colours. The advantage of these coloured-head screws is that they have a very wide head, which gives them a very high clamping range (after all, the tension is distributed over the entire head) so that your trespa, HPL or other cladding panels will be securely fastened.

Product features coloured-head screws A4 stainless steel

Our range of beautiful coloured-head screws come in various lengths and colours. The following colours are available from us: Black, White, Anthracite black, Beige, Grey and Cream. Thanks to the Qualicoat coating, the colours are deep and this coating is scratch-resistant and UV-resistant. Even many years after installing, the screws look like new. The lengths we have are 25 mm, 32 mm, 38 mm, 50 mm and 60 mm. The width of the head is 12 mm, giving the screws a very high clamping range. The Screw thread is 4.8 mm thick. The head has a Torx-20 drive, which allows you to effortlessly screw them into the cladding panels with the bit provided. These screws are made of A4 stainless steel. This has the advantage, compared to A2 stainless steel, that these screws are even more resistant to moisture, acids, salts and chlorine. This allows you to use these screws with confidence even if you live close to the coast.

Trespa panels are easy to install

When installing wall cladding panels, it is always advised to pre-drill the panel. This is done with a tungsten carbide HSS drill bit, which you can find in our range of hardwood drill bits. We recommend pre-drilling the central hole (also called the fixing point) with the 5 mm variant. This drill is just wide enough for our Coloured-head screws. You drill the fixation point centrally at each beam to which the board will be Securing, regardless of whether you are using 2, 3 or more beams. Then pre-drill the other holes (with which you secure the panel to the beam) with an 8 mm hardwood drill bit. This allows the panels to 'work'. This is the expansion and shrinking of the panel due to temperature changes. Drill these holes every 40 cm. Keep in mind when drilling that these holes must be at most 10x the panel thickness (in mm) from the edge of the panel for optimal fastening.

Followed by choosing the right screws.

We first recommend looking at the RAL colour of your Trespa panel to get a perfect colour match with the screw you want to use. Then determine the desired screw length. This depends on the panel thickness. Below is a brief overview of the various (standard) plate thicknesses and suitable screws:

    Sheet thicknessMinimum screw length
    6 mm25, 32, 38, 50 & 60 mm
    8 mm32, 38, 50 & 60 mm
    10 mm38, 50 & 60 mm
    13 mm38, 50 & 60 mm

In conclusion, you can start installing the plates. Wovar recommends starting by installing the plate at the fixing points. This has the advantage that the plate can easily be 'shifted' if the other drill holes are not perfectly aligned with the plate when you clamp it in place. Then tighten it. Be careful not to tighten it too tight, just 'hand-tight' is tight enough (as the plate will expand and shrink). Then start tightening the other screws until all screws are in place and the plate is firmly in place. Note, here again, that 'hand-tight' is sufficient as the plate will work.

    Buy coloured-head screws

Profit today and order a high-quality coloured-head screw at a very affordable price. Coloured-head screws from Wovar are made entirely of A4 stainless steel, where A2 stainless steel is the norm, and have a scratch-resistant Qualicoat coating. As a result, you will not only receive the best screw, but also be assured of a screw that will last.

For our business customers, we offer extra benefits, such as a business account with fixed discounts and a useful order overview. Is this HPL screw not quite what you are looking for? Then take a look at our entire range of Coloured-head screws, where we have various other sizes and colours available. For wooden cladding, on the other hand, we recommend our cladding screws. Thanks to the lens head, these screws provide a virtually invisible fastening.
