Last chance!Buy cylinder locks 35 - 50 mm
A cylinder lock like this one has a "carrier" which operates the lock. This carriage is on the zero limit, with this cylinder having a length of 35 mm on one side and 50 mm on the other. This brings the total length of the cylinder lock to 85 mm. The maximum door thickness for which this lock is suitable is 65 mm. We often see this size in homes fitted with Plastic frames.
Cylinder lock plastic door replacement
To replace a cylinder lock, follow the steps below:
.Step 1:Open the door.
Step 2:Turn this cylinder screw loose with a screwdriver and remove it from the mortise lock.
Step 3:Insert the key into the cylinder lock and turn it a little Piece. By lightly pulling, you will notice that the lock loosens after which you can remove the cylinder lock completely from the door.
Step 4:Place the key in the new cylinder lock and turn the key slightly so that the black "carrier" disappears into the cylinder lock.
Step 5:Push the new cylinder lock into the mortise lock of your door and turn the key so that the lock is activated.
Step 6: Using a screwdriver, turn the new cylinder screw provided into the hole provided so that the cylinder lock is anchored in the door.
Note:Our advice here is never to loosen and tighten the screws with a drill, but with a screwdriver. Combine your order, for example, with our wide range of door hardware, security hardware and Hinges.
We recommend that you never use a drill to loosen the screws, but rather a screwdriver.
