The double action spring hinges have a total width of 180 mm and a height of 172 mm. The width of the screw plates is 150 mm and the spacer is 40 mm wide. This makes these hinges suitable for doors with a thickness of 35 to 40 mm. The load capacity per two Hinges is 40 kg.

The swing door hinges are supplied as a set of two pieces including four locking pins and a set pin. However, this is without fasteners. We therefore recommend ordering our chipboard screws Galvanised 5 x 50 mm along.

Installing the double action swing door hinge

To secure the hinge, you will need the following: a pencil, a 3 mm hardwood drill bit and a drill with a Torx TX25 bit.

The advantage of these folding hinges is that they are double-action. This means you do not have to take into account the door's direction of rotation. This makes installing the Hinges a Piece easier.

Step 1: Determine the location of the top hinge
Step 2: Use the pencil to mark the screw holes
Step 3: Lightly pre-drill the screw holes, about 30 mm deep
Step 4: Installing the top hinge to the door
Step 5: Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the lower Hinge
Step 6: Now install the Hinges and door to the door frame
Step 7: Use the locking pins and adjusting pin to adjust how heavily your door opens and closes

Tip: Keep in mind the door thickness. This is because the door should not be wider than the centre piece of the swing door hinge.
