Which drill is needed for expansion bolt M6?

Use a 10 mm concrete or hammer drill bit to drill a 45 mm deep hole in the wall. Then place the expansion bolt in the hole and, if necessary, carefully hit it with a hammer until the expansion bolt with the top cylinder is in the wall. The side with the nut and washer will therefore be just outside the wall.

Fastening an expansion bolt

Proceed to tighten the nut firmly with a size 10 ring spanner. You will see that the expansion bolt does not turn. As the nut is tightened, the bolt expands on four sides and attaches securely to the wall. It is possible to attach material up to 15 mm thick. Be careful not to overtighten the expansion bolt. This way you can prevent concrete or stone from breaking.
