Flush Bolt Galvanised 220 x 20 x 15 mm - Per piece

These flush bolts are a secure way to lock your French doors or double doors. Flush bolts are a more hidden alternative to the very visible espagnolette locks, while still being safe and easy to operate. The flush bolts are operated by a lever. By pulling the lever all the way to the one side, you can move the locking pin. The pin cannot be moved without using the lever, resulting in a secure lock. 

When you already have a mortice in the side of your door, measure the dimensions to make sure this flush bolt can fit. The flush bolt is 220 mm long, 20 mm wide, and 15 mm thick. You can also create a mortice in the door with these dimensions with a plunge router.

Installing flush bolts

If you cannot make a mortice in the side of your door, you can also install them on the inside of the door. No matter on which side of the door you attach the flush bolts, always install two, one at the bottom and one at the top of the door. By locking the door with two flush bolts, the door is securely fastened, and you prevent the door from warping.

To install the flush bolts, we recommend using 3 x 40 mm screws. These screws fit perfectly in the mounting holes of the flush bolt and can also be used to fix the strike plate to the door frame. 

You can drill the hole that the pin will go into with our high-quality 10 mm spade drill bits. This will create a hole that the 8 mm thick pin will fit in perfectly. You can even countersink the strike plate in the door frame. If you decide to do this, use a sharp chisel to take out the wood, after which you install the strike plate in the recessed space.
