These Galvanised wire saddles 6 mm are supplied in sets of 4 pieces. These Wovar Wire Saddles are suitable for mounting mesh or trellis mats with a wire thickness of 6 mm. Wire saddles are also called wire panel clamps. These wire panel clamps have 2 mounting holes. If you use hardwood, we recommend fixing the wire saddles with our Stainless Steel 410 Garden Screws 4 x 40 mm. Hardwood contains tannic acids. These affect Galvanised screws over time. This does not happen with our stainless steel garden screws. When using softwood, our Galvanised Steel Garden Screws 4 x 40 mm are sufficient.

Galvanised steel makes the wire saddles very strong, but also vulnerable to oxidation after the zinc layer is damaged. An undamaged wire mesh panel clip will not oxidise.
