Installing an Elevated Post Base of 40 cm

The mounting of the elevated post base with an extra pin is easy. First, pre-drill the post so that the anchor pin fits into it. The pin will provide extra strength. You simply place the elevated post base directly into a hole that is filled with fast concrete. The fast concrete ensures that the anchor is firmly in place after 15 minutes. Because this anchor is adjustable, you can still adjust your post or upright in height after it has been placed in concrete and you can always assume a very strong attachment.

The mounting holes in the plate are all 9.5 mm wide. You can use our M8 coach screws or 8 x 80 construction lag screws for mounting. Both products can be found among the corresponding products. Pin for Firm Mounting

The pin on top of the plate is a total of 10 cm long and 2.5 cm thick, so it is exactly in the middle of the post. This ensures that the post sits extra firmly on the plate. Drill a hole in the middle of 25 mm thick with a spade drill 25 x 152 mm, you will find this among our complete range of spade drills.

At the top of the pin is an extra hole to place a carriage bolt horizontally through the post. To do this, drill a horizontal hole of a maximum of 1 cm at the correct height, so that the carriage bolt can pass through. If necessary, use a carriage bolt M8 and then pre-drill with a 9 mm hardwood drill. The length of the carriage bolt you use will of course depend on the thickness of the post you are installing.
