Galvanised Floating Shelf Bracket 16 cm - Threaded - Per piece

The shelf brackets are made of Galvanised steel and have a load-bearing capacity of 85 kg. The required wall plugs and washers are included, and you will not need any fasteners, because the shelf bracket is threaded. This results in a floating shelf bracket that is easy to install.

Mounting a floating shelf bracket

Our floating shelf brackets are threaded, so you can mount them to the wall without screws. You do still have to make a hole and insert a wall plug before attaching the shelf bracket. The floating shelf brackets have an 8 mm thread with a length of 65 mm. This means you will have to use a 10 mm hammer drill bit and a 10 mm wall plug. If you are going to mount the shelf bracket to a wooden wall, then we recommend using a 5 mm hardwood drill bit.

You can now attach the shelf to the bracket. Use planks with a minimum thickness of 2.2 cm, and a maximum depth of 26 cm. The pin that will go into the shelf has a diameter of 12 mm, so the holes should not be bigger than 12 mm to prevent the shelf from moving. Slide the plank on the pins and you have made a beautiful floating shelf.

Load-bearing capacity

Depending on the quality of the wood, the strength of the wall, and the distance between the pins, these floating shelf brackets can carry up to 85 kg. The closer to each other the shelf brackets are installed, the higher the load-bearing capacity. We recommend a maximum distance of 70 cm. The pins can be adjusted 6 mm in height.
