Mounting an extension bracket

Place the bracket around the beam with the opening facing up. Line up the bracket, so the end of the beam is in the middle. Fasten the bracket with at least 4 nails before adding the second beam. Make sure the two beams are pressed tightly against each other. You can now add the remaining nails.
