Handrail Bracket Aluminium Round M8 Black - Per piece

Looking for round handrail brackets? This black handrail bracket is a round model made from strong aluminium. The bracket was designed for use with straight handrails. Mounting handrail brackets is a job you can do yourself in a few steps.

    Materials for building a banister

You will need at least two black handrail brackets, one for each end of the handrail. You might need more brackets if your handrail is long. We recommend keeping 60 to 80 cm between the handrail brackets. Before starting with your DIY project, make sure you have the following materials:

    • Handrail (beam/pole)
    • Screws
    • Nylon wall plugs
    • Concrete drill bit
    • Hardwood drill bit
    • Handrail brackets
    • Wedge bolt M8

    Handrail brackets with blind mounting

Below is a helpful guide to building your own banister using blind mounting. We recommend asking for help from another person for some of these steps.

    1. Determine the position and height of the banister. The average height is 90 cm above the steps. Be sure to measure the height in at least two different spots to ensure an equal height. The easiest way to do this is to mark 90 cm above the top and bottom step. Then place masking tape on the wall between these two markings.
    2. Temporarily attach the black handrail brackets to the handrail. Make sure the brackets are at an equal distance from both ends of the handrail.
    3. Ask someone to hold the handrail with brackets at the right height, so you can mark the position on the wall by drawing a line around the perimeter of the circle. Then determine the middle of the circle by drawing straight, diagonal lines in the circle.
    4. Drill a 14 mm hole in the middle of the circle you just drew. Insert the wedge bolts and tighten them with a combination spanner.
    5. Remove the handrail from the brackets and attach the brackets to the wall by twisting them onto the bolts.
    6. Place the handrail on the brackets and align the brackets with the handrail.
    7. Secure the handrail to the brackets with 4 mm screws.
