Hinge 76 x 76 mm with round corner Galvanised - Per Piece

Wovar's 76 x 76 mm Hinge lets you hang your doors or windows with ease. This hinge is made of Galvanised Steel and has a loose pin. When unfolded, this Hinge has a size of 76 x 76 mm and a thickness of 2 mm.

The load-bearing capacity of one hinge is around 10 kg. For an average Interior door, you will need three of these Hinges. Our advice is to always use four Hinges per door. This is because the load-bearing capacity of these Hinges is at least 40 kg. 

Installing Hinges

These Hinges have six screw holes with a diameter of 4 mm. It is therefore best to install these hinges with our chipboard screws Galvanised 4 x 40 mm.

In addition, for the Hinge to work properly, you will need to make a recess. You do this by drawing an outline of the Hinge at the place where you are going to install it. Then use a hammer and chisel to make a 2 mm deep recess for the Hinge to sink into. Need another hammer or chisel? You can find these in the hand tools category under woodworking.

Is your door made of Hardwood? Then we also recommend pre-drilling the holes slightly, about 10 mm deep. Use a 2 mm hardwood drill bits for this.
