Joist Hanger Heavy Galvanised for 3.8 x 12 cm Beams - Each

This metal galvanised joist hanger is suitable for mounting beams of 3.8 x 12 cm. Especially SLS spruce beams of 38x120 mm are often used in combination with these joist hangers. With joist hangers you can easily and quickly place cross beams with a heavy load. The net inner size of this joist hanger is 39 x 160 mm. The outer size, including the handy screw holes, is 130 x 108 mm.

This heavy joist hanger is provided with a CE mark. This means that the beam carrier meets the legal requirements in the field of safety, health and environment.

How strong is this joist hanger?

The diagram below shows the load capacity of the Wovar joist hangers. The image on the right shows how the forces are indicated using abbreviations. For example, DR stands for the load-bearing capacity downwards, DW for the lateral strength and T for the force of the beam or wall. The load-bearing capacity of the joist hanger depends on the mounting material. When using nails, the load-bearing capacity is less than when using screws. That is why we always recommend using screws. The load-bearing capacity was tested with a total of 18 galvanised screws 5 x 35 mm. It is recommended to use a minimum of 4.0 mm screws. The load-bearing capacity for fastening with nails has been tested 4x40 mm threaded nails 18 pcs.

The load-bearing capacity shown in the table applies to T-joints wood to wood. For fastening with screws, it is recommended to use a minimum of 4.0 mm screws *
