Use this joist hanger for mounting 4.5x9cm beams. The net inner size of these joist hangers is 46x82mm. The outer size of the joist hanger is 140 x 185 mm. Use our chipboard screws to mount the joist hangers.

How strong is this joist hanger?

Below you will find a table in which the load-bearing capacity of this joist hanger is shown for T-joints from wood to wood. The image on the right shows what the abbreviations DR, DW and T stand for. For example, DR means the downward load capacity, DW the lateral strength and T the force of the beam or wall. The load-bearing capacity was tested with a total of 12 galvanised screws 5 x 35 mm. It is recommended to use a minimum of 4.0 mm screws. The load-bearing capacity for fastening with nails has been tested 4x40 mm threaded nails 12 pcs.
