This joist hanger has 45 mounting holes and is suitable for 7x20cm beams. The weight of these beams is no problem for these strong galvanised joist hangers. Because the joist hangers are made of galvanised steel, there is a risk that they will oxidise. Therefore try not to damage the galvanizing layer. This will not happen if the galvanizing layer remains completely intact.

The net inner size of this joist hanger is 71x182mm. The outer size is 178x181 mm. Mount the joist hanger on wood with our chipboard screws.

What is the load-bearing capacity of this joist hanger?

The table below shows the load-bearing capacity of this joist hanger for 7 x 20 cm beams. The table of the Wovar joist hangers applies to T-joints from wood to wood. The meaning of the abbreviations is indicated in the image opposite. For example, DR stands for the load-bearing capacity downwards, DW for the lateral strength and T for the force of the beam or wall. The load-bearing capacity has been tested with a total of 44 galvanised screws 5 x 35 mm. It is recommended to use a minimum of 4.0 mm screws. The load-bearing capacity for fastening with nails has been tested 4x40 mm threaded nails 44 pcs.
