This Chrome plated mortice hinge has an average load capacity of 20 kg per piece. This allows you to hang an average Standard Interior door of 30 kg with two of these hinges without any worries.

Installing Paumelle mortice hinge for steel frame

A mortice hinge for a steel frame is easy to install. The mounting frame placed on the steel frame will already have a pre-drilled slot for your mortice hinge. You therefore only need to drill holes in your Rebated door. Read the installation instructions below for a step-by-step explanation.

• Slide the bottom half of the hinges into your frame and screw them in place.
• Then determine the height of the hinge holes in your door and mark them.
• Now use a 5mm hardwood drill bit to pre-drill the holes, up to 30mm deep.
• Finally, screw the hinges into the door and hang it.
