With this post holder on plate, you can easily install 14 x 14 cm posts. The post holder with flat base is made of Galvanised steel. This makes the post holder strong, however, this post holder is not suitable for heavy-duty timber constructions. The post holder on plate is 15 cm high. If you place the thick posts in a place where strong winds may occur, we recommend reinforcing the post with braces. To prevent your post from rotting, allow the post to float 5 mm in the post holder. This ensures that any water that slides down the post can drain away. When securing this post holder on foot, use our galvanised coach screws M8. Just pre-drilling into the post with a 6.0 mm hardwood drill bit ensures that the coach screws have plenty of meat in the wood for a tight fit. This applies to both securing the post and mounting the post holder on a wooden deck.

Should you anchor the post holder in Stone or Concrete, combine the coach screws with a 10x50 mm nylon plug. You then drill a hole with our 10 mm hammer drill and fill the hole with a wall plug.
