    Ridge roll black 320mm x 5m

Are you working on your roofs and looking for a solution to leaf formation or water under your ridge? Do you want a seamless connection AND ventilation under your ridge frost? At Wovar, we have the perfect solution for your situation with our ridge rolls. Thanks to the ventilation holes giving the ridge roll an air permeability of 180 cm2/m, the ridge roll ensures optimal ventilation. These ridge rolls are made of Aluminium with self-adhesive butyl strips and are very flexible thanks to the pattern. This combination makes the ridge roll easy to install and ensures a seamless connection to your shingles. The ridge roll, also known as ridge frost band, is available in Black and Red so it will always match your roof.

    What is a ridge roll?

A bottom ridge roll, also known as a ridge roll or corner ridge band, is a band that you apply under the ridge roll or corner ridge.  This band prevents leaves, snow and rain from getting under the ridge roll or corner ridge and provides ventilation thanks to the ventilation holes. In addition, it usually has self-adhesive butyl strips on the underside. The ridge roll is made of Aluminium and, thanks to its design, is very flexible which ensures a perfect fit on your roofs.

What do you use a ridge roll for?

An underlay roll, also called a ridge roll, is used under the ridge frost or in the corner cap to prevent leaves, rain and snow from getting under the ridge frost and rotting your wooden roof construction. To ensure that the space is ventilated and condensation can escape, the ridge roll is perforated. This ridge roll therefore has a water-repellent and vapour-reducing function for your ridge frost.

How do you secure a ridge roll?

Fixing an underlay roll from Wovar, also known as ridge roll tape, is very easy. This is because our ridge rolls contain a self-adhesive butyl strip on the underside. First make sure the ridge of your roof is cleaned so that the butyl strip can stick properly to the roofs. Next, remove the foil from the self-adhesive butyl strip and place the ridge roll in the middle of the ridge on the left. You place the ridge roll from Left to Right in the middle of the roofs. Make sure there is at least a 30 cm overlap between each ridge roll to ensure there are no gaps where water or snow can get between them. When the underlay lies on the ridge, cut away the overlap at the end with a good Snap-off knife and press the sides with a pressure roller or EPDM roller so that they stick firmly to the tile. Finally, you can install the ridge forks.
