Important information:Paumels cannot be reversed, so make sure that you choose the correct direction of rotation. This Rising butt hinge is left-handed. This means that it is suitable for doors that turn left inside (rotation direction 3 on the last image) and right outside (rotation direction 2 on the last image).

You secure this Rising butt hinge easily thanks to the eight countersunk mounting holes. These pre-drilled mounting holes have a diameter of 4.5 mm. We therefore recommend using our Black Stainless steel 410 stainless steel screws 4 x 50 mm. 

In addition, you will need to notch a recess for the hinge to ensure optimal function of the hinge. You do this by marking the outline of the hinge at the place where you are going to install it. Then use a hammer and chisel to make a 3 mm deep recess so that the hinge can sink into it. Do you still need a hammer or chisel? You can find these in the hand tools category under woodworking.

Do you have a Hardwood frame or door? Then pre-drill the holes slightly, about 10 mm. This will allow the screws to turn away easily and prevent the wood from splitting. Use our hardwood drill bits 2.5 mm.

In order to meet the SKG3 star rating you will need to use four of these hinges. The diagram below shows where to place them.
