This Rising butt hinge is 89 x 89 mm (lxw) with a thickness of 3 mm and has round corners. Furthermore, this hinge is made of Stainless steel and has a brushed finish. This means it will not rust and is therefore also suitable for outdoor use. Finally, this hinge has a load-bearing capacity of no less than 120 kg per 4 pieces.

Note:Paumelles cannot be reversed, so make sure you choose the correct direction of rotation. This Rising butt hinge is right-handed. This means that it is suitable for doors that turn right inside (rotation direction 4 on the last picture) and left outside (rotation direction 1 on the last picture).

This Rising butt hinge has eight countersunk screw holes with a diameter of 4.5 mm. For a strong mounting we therefore recommend using our chipboard screws 410 stainless steel 4 x 50 mm. Do not forget to order these if you do not already have them.

In addition, for the Hinge to work properly, you will need to make a recess. You do this by drawing an outline of the Hinge at the place where you are going to install it. Then use a hammer and chisel to make a 3 mm deep recess for the Hinge to sink into. Do you need another hammer or chisel? You can find these in the hand tools category under woodworking.

Is your window frame or door made of Hardwood? Then we recommend slightly pre-drilling the holes. This will prevent possible splitting of the wood and the screws will easily turn away.

Use a 2.5 mm hardwood drill bits for this and don't drill the holes deeper than 10 mm.

To meet the SKG3 star rating you will need to use four of these hinges. The diagram below shows where to place them.
