1. We are often asked what size round head ring nail should be used. For the right size ring nail, always choose a nail that is at least 2.5 times the thickness of the Wood you are using. For example, is the board 16 mm thick? Then use 2.5 x 16 = ring nails at least 40 mm long.
2. With a wood width of 90 mm, hammer 1 nail in the middle of the board when fastening. Are you using boards wider than 90 mm? Then install 2 ring nails one above the other.
3. Make sure you do not fasten the boards too tightly. Wood is a natural product and can therefore work with temperature differences. This prevents the wood from splitting.
