These security hinges have a load capacity of about 25 kg per hinge. For an average interior door of 40 kg, you will therefore have more than enough with two hinges. However, we recommend always using at least four Hinges.

Is your door or frame made of Hardwood? Then pre-drill the screw holes about 10 mm deep. Use our 2.5 mm hardwood drill bits for this.

In the attached schematic diagram, you can see how to position the safety hinges for optimal function. When using five Hinges place two at the top, two at the bottom and one in the middle. In addition, it is important to screw the bottom two screws at an angle into the frame if the door is turned inwards.
