Mounting Shelf Brackets on a Stone Wall

The shelf bracket has 6 mounting holes, each with a diameter of 5 mm. For example, you can use our black screws 4 x 50 mm for wall mounting. Are you planning to anchor the shelf bracket in a stone wall? Then use nylon plugs of 6 x 50 mm. Use a concrete drill with the same diameter for firm anchoring. The short side of the shelf support should be placed against the wall so that you have a beam of 29 cm.

Mounting Shelf Brackets on Wood

The shelf brackets are also easy to mount on wood. With softwood, you can drill the screws directly into the wood, but with hardwood, we recommend pre-drilling the wood first. Place the shelf support against the wood and use a pencil to mark the mounting holes on the wood. For attachment with 4mm chipboard screws, pre-drill holes with a 2mm hardwood drill bit. After pre-drilling, you can easily tighten the screws and your shelf support is firmly in place.

If you are going to install thin boards, we recommend ordering our black screws 3.5 x 16 mm. These are Wovar's smallest black screws and they are easy to mount from under the shelf support. Please note that the load-bearing capacity of the planks you use and the material to which you attach the plank supports all affect the weight that can be placed on the planks. For planks with a large length, we recommend mounting several plank supports.
