Turnbuckle screw stainless steel A2 - 4.5 x 70 mm - Box 200 pieces
Specially for your aluminium profiles and sheets, Wovar has the spanner screw in its range. As you may know, you should never secure aluminium profiles with a galvanised screw because corrosion will be able to develop. Our spanner screws are therefore made of A2 stainless steel quality and have an EPDM washer so that the aluminium is not in direct contact with the stainless steel of the screw in the open air, which will prevent corrosion.
Characteristics of the screw for securing aluminium
The best screw for securing various aluminium profiles and roof edge trims is of course the spanner screw. You can recognise this screw by its lens-shaped head (also called lens head), this head shape has the advantage of a much nicer finish and an elegant shine. Furthermore, the screw has a Partial Thread which has the advantage that the profile tightens during assembly and is well secured. The drive is a TX-20 which makes it easy to tighten.
Drill like this
Before installing these screws in the aluminium roof edge trims or profiles, pre-drill for optimal fastening. For the 4.5 mm thick mortise screws you should pre-drill with a 4 mm metal drill bit, you can find these in the metal drill bits category.
Always the perfect length
For perfect fastening screws are always 2 cm (or more) deep in the substructure. For the spider screws, this means that they should be secured at least 2 cm into the wood. This is why you should buy screws that are at least 2 cm longer than the thickness of the profile or roof edge trim you want to secure. Wovar screws are naturally of the best Quality and always inexpensive.
