Vapour barrier foil 90g/m2 - 1.50 x 25 metres

Are you building or renovating your facade or roof and looking for a suitable, high-quality foil? At Wovar we have vapour barriers. This foil prevents water vapour from condensing and penetrating the insulation, keeping the insulation layer dry and ensuring that the insulation continues to do its job properly. For this reason, a good vapour barrier foil also has a high sd-value (vapour resistance) which is a unit of measurement for how well the foil retains moisture. 

This foil has a thickness of approximately 90 Grams/m² and, unlike most other foils on the market, it is fully CE approved. This means that the foil's performance has been independently tested and conforms to performance standards. The foil comes in rolls of 150 cm wide and 25 metres long and is easy to cut to size with a Snap-off knife. 

Apply vapour barriers on the warm side

First of all, apply foil tape to the wooden battens on the inside of the wall, this prevents the acids in the wood from soaking into the foil and affecting the foil. Then apply  the film from left to straight, with the top side (this is always the colour side with our spider web film) at the top. Always start at the bottom. Secure the foil with Stainless steel staples with a minimum length of 25 mm. Shoot staples every 250 mm. This prevents weather influences (wind) from pulling the foil loose. Our advice is always to secure the foil with staples; glue alone is not sufficient and can lead to complaints. For the overlap, use foil glue from a tube. Always work seams and staples with our special vapour-proof tape for best results. Always ensure 100 â€" 150 mm overlap. Use a useful Snap-off knife to cut the foil to size.
